About SuholTracker
Suhol is the Filipino word for bribe. This platform exists so that the small, everyday payments people are pressured into — and the large ones they hear about — stop disappearing into silence.
What we do
SuholTracker lets anyone report bribery, extortion, unofficial fees and other corrupt practices involving government personnel, offices and services. Moderators review every report, remove identifying details, and — when the reporter allows it — publish a redacted version. Aggregated statistics show where and how people say they are being asked to pay.
What we are not
- We are not a government website. SuholTracker is independent and is not affiliated with, funded by or endorsed by any government agency.
- We are not a court or an investigator. A report is an allegation. Our statuses describe how far our review went, never whether anyone is guilty.
- We are not a replacement for official complaints. To start a formal case, file with the appropriate official body.
Our principles
- Protect reporters first: collect as little as possible and encrypt what we keep.
- Never publish the name of an accused individual based on an unverified allegation.
- Be honest about limits: we can't promise perfect anonymity, and our numbers measure reports, not corruption.
- Give people described in reports a way to dispute and correct what's published.
